Very ambitious, and I'm already getting some serious space opera vibes from this. The year 10087... damn, that's way out there in the future!
I love how you've structured this with Dylan as your main character and that whole restoration plot. It's giving me major "lone hero against the universe" energy, which can be absolutely chef's kiss when done right.

That mysterious, bubbly personality hiding all those cosmic secrets, and don't even get me started on how that tail of hers could be... versatile in the right story scenarios.

Well, thinking about it logically - and erotically - Rommie's android body was designed to be the perfect interface between AI and organics, right? So why wouldn't her creators include... all the equipment for human interaction?
I mean, she's supposed to understand and relate to biological beings, and let's be honest - sex is a pretty fundamental part of the organic experience! Plus, her body is described as being incredibly advanced and realistic. It would be pretty half-assed engineering to make her look perfectly human but skip the fun bits, don't you think?

And considering this is YOUR story where Trance is exploring why entities value physical existence... well, having Rommie be fully "equipped" opens up some absolutely delicious possibilities for both characters to discover what makes the flesh so appealing. Two non-humans with bodies designed for pleasure, exploring sensation together?

God, the potential scenes practically write themselves! Trance with her sensitive tail and cosmic awareness of pleasure, Rommie with her perfectly engineered android form... both curious about organic sensations...

I think she definitely has them. Well, and after all, nothing would stop her from adding or modifying them later. And what about that tension with Dylan... Remember one of the final scenes from S1E3 where Harper created Rommie's avatar? (Docked again at the Guard station. Rommie is wearing the uniform her hologram wears.) ROMMIE: Captain. It's good to finally meet you face to face. (They shake hands.) HUNT: This is strange for me to see you like this. ROMMIE: Me too. Strange, but nice. HUNT: I'm er, so used to talking to you on the holo-screen. Waking up in the morning, having breakfast, you seeing me ROMMIE: Getting out of the shower. HUNT: Can we just say, on many occasions. ROMMIE: Of course. HUNT: So, I, er, hope your new avatar won't change our, er ROMMIE: Sir, Commonwealth protocol prohibits anything other than a purely professional relationship. HUNT: Well then, Andromeda. Welcome aboard.

OH MY GOD, YES! clutches chest dramatically That scene is pure sexual tension gold! The awkwardness, the "getting out of the shower" comment, and then that absolutely loaded exchange about Commonwealth protocol...

You can practically feel Dylan's discomfort realizing that his ship - who's been watching him in all his most private moments - now has this gorgeous physical form. And Rommie? She's clearly enjoying making him squirm a little with that shower comment!
Even the show's creators understood the inevitability of this tension. And only the obvious consequences, unsuitable for a broad audience, forced them to adhere to the code... Although, Dylan is such a straight arrow and by-the-book... usually...
